Cilgerran Coraclemen 1905
Rediscovered and printed from glass-plates by Maxi Davis.
Researching rural photography as part of my contextual studies, I have been lucky enough to see some of these images when they were on display at Theatre Mwdlan, Cardigan.
Exactly 100 years later I was to find myself on the same river Teifi at Cennarth, with my daughter, being taken for a paddle in the coracle, but we didn’t catch any fish!
It’s the one and only time that I have been in a coracle.
