Influence and Relevance:
The work of these photographers has influenced my B.A.(Hons) Photography Cinematic module and also my Critical and Contextual studies by the style of black and white photography and the subject matter.

Documenting an era of changing people and landscapes and a working way of life that has gone forever.
Photography captures a passage of time, although not apparent immediately, the image preserves the knowledge for future generations as an historical and educational document, of time passing and a recollection of memories.

Images from P.B. Abery, Geoff Charles, D.C. Harries and John Thomas:
Have all captured a transition period from horses being an essential part of the rural landscape, to technology in the form of mechanical horsepower, taking the economics of the land and workers forward.
